The Motorcycle Assemblers Association of Kenya (MAAK) has been undertaking membership visits to better understand the current business landscape, identify areas where members need support, and explore opportunities for growth within the industry. These visits are part of our commitment to fostering collaboration, advocating for favorable policies, and ensuring a thriving motorcycle sector in Kenya.

 The Public Transport (Motorcycle Regulations, 2023 Bill )sponsored by Senator Boni Khalwale that seeks to put in place a legal framework to regulate the use of Motorcycle(Boda Bodas) and Three wheelers (Tuk Tuks) for commercial purposes at the county level was published for introduction in the Senate. MAAK shared this bill and its Legislative summary with its members for review, given their significant stake in the matter. A joint session was held on November 9 where different stakeholders gave their input and matters to be put into consideration were escalated.v


 MAAK actively contributed to the review of the drafted East African Community (EAC) Regulations. Members were encouraged to provide input and comments during this processv
