MAAK was part of the Kenyan delegation during deliberations concerning the development of the Regional Automotive Platform organized by the EAC Secretariat. The discussions took place during a three-day retreat held at the Nairobi Safari Hotel.v
MAAK participated in the drafting of the Automotive Bill during a weeklong retreat. MAAK has also participated in various engagements related to the Automotive Bill. This bill which is an ACT of Parliament aims to provide legal, institutional and regulatory framework for the development and promotion of the Automotive industry;to provide for the establishment ,powers and functions of the National Automotive Council; and for connected purposes. This Bill will play a big role in re-engineering the sector.
MAAK met the Principal Secretary, State Department of Industrialization, Dr Juma Mukhwana on 28th March 2023. During the meeting, MAAK gave a comprehensive status update on the status of the motorcycle sector in Kenya. The discussion covered the sector's economic impact, achievements, challenges, and recommendations to grow the industry.
